Marketing doesn’t have to be perfect to be effective
What is “effective”? It’s conversions. The holy grail of all #business, customers seeking you out.
The biggest takeaway for those of you looking to get started with good #contentmarketing, is simply to start. If you are doing something, anything, then you are doing something 90% of small businesses don’t. I’ve worked with thousands of small businesses and the biggest #media mistake they make is clear. They smother their customers for a short period of time, then quit.
I understand why, even sympathize. The heart is in the correct place. It’s the one secret that they should do, if only they knew to use it. Don’t publish straight to the #internet. Ever. Always schedule #content. It sounds simple enough, and I wonder how many of you just slumped your shoulders in disappointment. No magic wand here, friends. Only great #marketing.
YOU WON’T BELIEVE HOW EASY IT IS
Provide value to your fans with the knowledge you already know. Then schedule it. If you are better at writing, then write. Talking? Podcast. Schedule the content to distribute once a month. Schedule an #email, post it to #socialmedia, and then put it in your blog.
Once you are scheduled for twelve months, increase the frequency, but work backward, scheduling in the middle of your schedule. One year out minus two weeks. After three months, you will have content for the next year. After six months, content is going out every other week. You will notice your audience growing. After one year, posts are piling up and customers are beginning to buy. It’s inevitable, easy, and it’s worth committing to.
